Welcome to the City of Columbia Parks and Recreation Master Plan

This page is a resource for you as we work through the process of developing this 10-Year Master Plan. You will find information about the master plan, periodic updates on the progress and opportunities for you to be part of the process.

About the Master Plan:

The Parks and Recreation Department has engaged Weston & Sampson to develop a comprehensive plan identifying current and future community needs for recreation programming, parks, greenways, and recreational facilities. The plan will provide a framework for future development or redevelopment of the parks and recreation system over the next ten years and serve as a road map for policy development concerning location, park usage, resource allocation and levels of service.
