Our girls softball program is an instructional softball program for girls ages 6-12. It is designed to be an introduction to the game and concentrates on the basic skills and fundamentals. Basic skills, (catching, throwing, fielding, hitting), will be taught through group drills broken up by age groups (6-9 & 10-12). Modified games will be played to implement what has been learned.

City Sluggers is an instructional Tee Ball / Coaches Pitch program for 4-8 year old children. The T Ball program is for ages 4-6. Coaches Pitch is for ages 7-8. Both are designed to be an introduction to the game of baseball and concentrates on the basic skills and fundamentals.

Cost for program is $25. Practices days and times are up to coaches. Games are held on Saturday at various city facilities beginning March 28th. Complete uniform, shirt, pants, socks and cap, is provided for each player. All players must provide their own glove. Cleats and all other additional personal equipment (bats, helmets, etc) are optional.

Volunteer coaches are needed and will have to complete and pass a background check before practice begins.

The Miracle League provides an environment for children with mental and physical handicaps the ability to enjoy “America’s Favorite Pastime”. All players are accompanied by a “Buddy” when at bat and in the field to help the children play the game and also protect them from injury. All players receive a jersey and a hat. It is a very enjoyable and rewarding program for the players and buddies alike.

Registration begins January 26. Program is FREE.
