Saluda Riverwalk, 650 Candi Lane:

  • Early Bird Walks: Wednesday mornings at 7.

Register at the link above for this FREE beginner friendly program. Fall is the perfect time to explore our parks with binoculars and view birds.  Seasonal migrations can make this an exciting time for both novice and experienced birders to sight birds along our greenways.

Guests are encouraged to dress comfortably and bring binoculars if they have them. Rangers have a couple of extra pairs to share if needed. Dress for the weather forecast and wear sturdy walking shoes when participating in the programs!

  • Nature Notebook, Sunday October 15 (January 7 and April 14) $25 initially and $15 thereafter

Explore what you find curious in the natural world through enriching discussion and receive ranger led guidance on how to document your discoveries through illustration and writing. This program will meet quarterly to explore seasonal changes at the Saluda Riverwalk.

While open to all ages, anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

There are a myriad of benefits from spending time outdoors, including stress reduction and enhanced creativity!  Immerse yourself in this outdoor class and begin a rewarding new practice of nature journaling.

  • Tykes on a Hike, meeting on the last Monday monthly $5

Children ages 2-5 along with their adult chaperones will visit our park rangers for a nature themed story along with a short hike to explore, followed by craft time.  Begin a new family tradition with your toddler and make memories that will bring smiles for years to come.
