The Columbia Parks and Recreation Foundation is dedicated to preserving, enriching and sustaining cultural, environmental and recreational facilities and programs across Columbia’s diverse communities to enhance quality of life through learning, cultivating relationships and building character. Our principle is simple: thriving parks foster thriving communities.

The Columbia Parks and Recreation Foundation was formed by Columbia City Council to create programs for the Parks and Recreation Department that enhance and expand the availability of educational and human development resources for Midlands area citizens. The Foundation continues to fulfill this mission by encouraging and soliciting gifts and donations to expand revenue growth, as well as promote volunteer opportunities in support of the department’s programs and activities.

The Columbia Parks Foundation is a registered 501(c)3 organization.
